Alreet! I’m James Philipson, and as a proud Geordie, I bring a warm and approachable presence, fostering a positive team culture. I have twelve years of experience as an apprenticeship-trained fabricator, honing my skills on the shop floor before making the move to Yorkshire. Now, I hold the position of Junior Estimator with Knaresborough Engineering.

In addition to working on estimates, I am responsible for tracking time on jobs and supporting the admin team by evaluating completed projects.

What I enjoy most about my role is the dynamic nature of the work. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, and I take pride in bringing a smile to my colleagues’ faces. I’m here to inject a lot of fun into the team, and you’ll rarely catch me without a smile on my face. The friendly working environment here makes every day enjoyable.

Beyond the office, I have a range of interests that keep me active and engaged. I’m a massive fan of pub quizzes, love swimming, enjoy cooking, exploring new eateries, and, of course, heading home to Newcastle to spend quality time with my family and friends.
