Meet Mark Tetlow, the Quality Assurance (QA) Lead and Health & Safety Officer at Knaresborough Engineering. Dedicated to maintaining precision and safety standards, Mark ensures that every product leaving the doors of the company meets the highest quality benchmarks.
In his dual role as QA Lead and H&S Officer, Mark meticulously oversees projects before they enter production, ensuring their alignment with quality standards. Concurrently, he provides crucial support to the Health and Safety manager in maintaining a secure work environment. Leveraging cross-training on the laser and press brakes, Mark offers additional support on the shop floor during production peaks.
Armed with an FdSc degree in off-road vehicle design from Harper Adams University, Mark brings 6 years of valuable experience to the team. His journey includes serving as a Projects Coordinator during his university placement and holidays, as well as gaining expertise as an HGV mechanic through college placements. Currently, he contributes to maintaining the high standards at Knaresborough Engineering’s workshop.
What Mark finds most fulfilling is being involved in a project at the initial stage, ensuring that the drawings and detailing are correct and that the processes are in place before the job makes it onto the shop floor.
Beyond his commitment to quality assurance at Knaresborough Engineering, Mark is a devoted supporter of F1 races, where he appreciates the speed and precision of the sport. Additionally, he channels his mechanical prowess into fixing up his Land Rover during his free time, a hands-on hobby that complements his professional expertise.
